CLOSING THE WINDOW ON REAL LIFE POP-UPS
On the Internet, getting rid of unsolicited pop-ups is pretty easy. In real life, things are a tad more complicated. The Pop_Down Project aims at symbolically restoring everyone''s right to non-exposure by sticking a "close window" button on any public space pollution.

‘Visual first aid’ initially launched in 2008 by artist Filipe Vilas-Boas in Paris as a participative and playful project to help citizens express themselves and reclaim their due: public space. At its highest point the group counted more than 700 pop_downers all over the world. Their main preocupations were advertising and abandoned objects in the streets.
