How to participate at AMRO22

Visit Linz

Linz is located in the geographical heart of Europe and is quick and easy to reach by water, land and air thanks to a good network of autobahns and the Linz Airport. Find out here how to get to Linz and discover Linz through the Visit-Linz-App.

Several hotels are located within walking distance from the festival area, as well as the city centre of Linz. Hotel offers can be found on the website of the city of Linz, where you can also inform yourself about the Linz card, that gives you free admission to Linz museums and the public transport. For any personal inquiries, questions or information about Linz, the Tourist Information Linz is happy to help.

Festival Locations

AMRO22’s main location is afo – architekturforum oberösterreich. The discursive part of the festival program, as well as some workshops and showcases happens there. Other program points are distributed in the spaces of our Partners bb15, DH5, STWST, dev.lol & Raumschiff, around the city center.

Streaming and online participation

If you cannot join in Linz, you can still join the festival. Thanks to our partners dorfTV & the IT department of the Kunstuniversität Linz, we will stream the lecture program in the mornings and in the evening. Later in the nights, the sound of the AMRO Nightly Builds will be broadcasted by RADIO FRO.

Festival Currency: the GIBLING

Gibling is a community currency from the stadtwerkstatt, as well as an experiment of art-money.

At AMRO22 the current edition of the Gibling will be launched and used as Festival Currency.

We encourage visitors using the festival currency GIBLING at AMRO.
At the AMRO locations, change for drinks and gadgets will be given in Gibling.
You can exchange Euro to Giblinge at the Punkomat in the showcase location.
Festival contributors can also decide to receive their fees or reimbursements in Giblinge.

COVID info

There are currently no particular restrictions for events such as AMRO, we nevertheless call for a responsible behaviour.

If possible, test yourself before you join AMRO.
We will make available masks and self-tests at festival locations.
In case you develop noticeable symptoms during or shortly after the festival, please inform the organizers.
